Suzuki is planning to assemble 400-600CC bikes in India

Here is a good news for all those hardcore bikers who would love to own a superbike but cant afford to pay mammoth amounts like 12lakhs, don't worry guys suzuki is bringing their 400-600CC bikes to india through CKD(completely knocked down) kit route which would nearly have the duties, against the 100% import duty on fully built units. This could make prices of power bikes come down to Rs. 4-5 lakhs.

The company would shortly be sending some of the bikes to Indian Vehicle certification agency ARAI(Automotive Research Association of India),Pune, for homologation, and this homologation process would take between 3-6 months. We could expect some of these bikes possibly by Diwali.

Suzuki could get the models like GS500, GSR600 AND RMZ-450 from its international models. It has already brought us a few models of its legendary 1300CC hayabusa for display which couls hit the roads along with its 1600CC B-King, which is priced around Rs 10+ lakhs.
